🍷 Wine Fest, Hairball & More | This Week in Cheyenne
Plus: The Magic for Grown-Ups series begins at the Cheyenne Creativity Center.

The Cheyenne Civic Center will be the host of multiple events this week including: A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage, Black Jacket Symphony’s Hotel California and Dirty Dancing in Concert.

Monday, Nov 6th
Explore Yoga | 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. | Through the Woods Wellness Center, 623 W 20th St | Nonperishable Food Item | The first of three yoga classes to help you explore the various types of yoga. This class will focus on Hatha Yoga, lead by Jasmine of GROW Movement and Mindfulness. With Thanksgiving around the corner, the cost of each class is a nonperishable food item/s which will be donated to the LCCC Student Food Pantry and Wyoming Family Assistance before the holiday.
Tuesday, Nov 7th
Magic for Grown-Ups | 5:30 p.m. | Cheyenne Creativity Center, 1620 Thomes Ave | $75 | Interested in learning a fun new skill? Join local magician Dan Jasperson for this series of three classes to learn dozens of tricks, concepts, moves with cards, coins, business cards and other common objects. Designed for the adult learner (18+), with an emphasis on actual performance of magic tricks, you will spend time watching great magic on video, discussing magic and building up a toolkit of ideas.

Noon Meditation Series | 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. | Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, 710 S. Lions Park Dr | Free to attend | This drop-in meditation session helps you melt away mid-week stress. Bring anything you need to help you sit comfortably for 30 minutes- blanket, towel, etc.
A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage | 7:00 p.m. | Cheyenne Civic Center, 510 W 20th St | $25-$55 | The classic animated television special comes to life in this stage adaptation that celebrates the timeless classic.
Thursday, Nov 9th
Assemblage Workshop | 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. | Cheyenne Creativity Center, 1620 Thomes Ave | $25 | Learn how to assemble beautiful, useful artwork from upcycled materials in this workshop. The main features of the workshop will be glass jars, jewelry, lace and tiny household objects.
Golden Burger Experience | 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. | Railspur, 707 W Lincolnway | $75 | The 3rd annual golden burger celebration will find you consuming a gluttonous burger patty from Snake River Farms Beef and will include toppings of racette cheese, boursin cheese and speck(prosciutto), just to name a few.
Open Jam Night | 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. | The Lincoln, 1615 Central Ave | Free to attend | A safe space for musicians (ages 16+) to learn and build skills with likeminded individuals. Drums, amps and keys are provided, you bring the rest. Or drop in for a drink and listen to music from local musicians.
LCCC Theatre Presents "The Wife of Fabian Vitalik" (Also Fri, Nov 10th & Sat, Nov 11th) | 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. | LCCC Playhouse, 1400 E College Dr | Available at LCCC Box Office | A brand new play about love, loss, magic and shapeshifters. A family-friendly play.
The Black Jacket Symphony presents Eagles Hotel California | 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. | Cheyenne Civic Center, 510 W 20th St | $29-$34 | Enjoy this live concert experience unlike any other as the Black Jacket Symphony recreates one of the best selling albums of all-time - the Eagles’ iconic album Hotel California - live in its entirety, plus a full set of the Eagles’ greatest hits.

22nd Annual Holiday Wine Fest | 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. | Little America Hotel & Resort, 2800 W Lincolnway | $50-$75 | The premier wine tasting event is back! The event is intended to showcase local wine vendors and raise proceeds to support St. Mary's Catholic Schools.

Hairball | 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. | The Lincoln, 1615 Central Ave, | $25 | Like 20 concerts in one night! Hairball leads you through a 2+ hour, drop-dead accurate homage to some of the biggest arena acts in the world including: Van Halen, KISS, Motley Crue, Queen, Journey, and Aerosmith.
Singer-songwriter Jason Buchanan recently relocated to Cheyenne and with the move he found a renewed inspiration for his artistry. The Southeast Texas native gained a fresh perspective that he leaned on to write a collection of songs that capture the essence of his Wyoming journey and make up his debut album "Crooked Rivers" that drops on November 24th. The smooth, melodic sounds on songs "Sleeping on the Porch in a Texas Storm" and "I’m Not as Good" make for easy listening. Title track "Crooked Rivers" is a standout song and will quickly become a fan favorite. Out in It Exhibit Opening | 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | Wyoming State Museum, 2301 Central Ave | Free to attend | Wyoming State Parks Artist-in-Residence, Bria Hammock, will unveil her en plein air exhibit: Out In It, inspired by her summer road trip adventures in the great outdoors. Stick around for her live painting session and chat about her art and the inspirations.
LCCC Music Concert: Honoring Our Veterans | 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. | LCCC Surbrugg/Prentice Auditorium, 1400 E College Dr | Free to attend | The Cheyenne Brass Band and LCCC Wind Ensemble present a concert "Honoring our Veterans".
Hangin' with the Catz | 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. | Catz N Coffee Connections, 615 W 20th St | $60 | Sunshine Plant Company and Catz N Coffee team up to bring you hanging macrame cat pot gardens. Create your own garden and fill it with strings of pearls and hearts. A portion of your ticket will go back to the cafe to help care for the cats and a portion will go to local non-profit Veteran’s Rock.
Henry Rollins: Good to See You Tour | 7:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. | The Lincoln, 1615 Central Ave | $30-$160 | Known as many things, diatribist, confessor, provocateur, humorist to name a few, Rollins visits Cheyenne on his Good To See You Tour and will recount the events of his life in the brief pre-COVID period, since his last tour and the strange things that have happened over the last several months.

LCCC Music Concert: A Vocal Showcase | 3:00 p.m. | LCCC's Surbrugg-Prentice Auditorium, 1400 E College Dr | Free to attend | The vocal concert will feature LCCC talents including Cantorei, Collegiate Chorale and soloists.
🎄 Upcoming: Don't miss this night to remember as Magic City Enterprises' annual Festival of Trees takes place of December 1st. Businesses and community members decorate spectacular Christmas trees that are auctioned off during the evening. In addition to the trees, you'll enjoy dinner, music and silent auction. It all takes place at The Gallery at The Met with proceeds helping to support the enabling of individuals with disabilities to live more independently with the use of technology. 🚧 Update: Westbound Central Ave will be closed at Yellowstone Rd for a few days early this week.

A new entertainment experience is now open in downtown Cheyenne. Ace's Range features golf and shooting simulators for use in your own private bay, with over 260 courses from around the world available to play. The Trackman simulators feature mini games that are great for beginners of all ages, shot analysis, range practice and video feedback for improving your game.
