Plant & Paint Night: Carnivorous Bog Garden | 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. | Sunshine Plant Company, 600 W 17th St | $69 | Create a carnivorous bog garden with Sunshine Plant Co. and then head next door to Flydragon Art Studio to paint up your very own masterpiece. Hiking + Yoga | 6:30 a.m. | Curt Gowdy State Park, 1264 Granite Springs Rd | Free to attend, suggested donation | Through the Woods Wellness center hosts this early morning hike and yoga event. Take in Wyoming's beautiful scenery and fresh air by joining in this 2-3 mile hike followed by yoga and mediation. The immersive experience will engage all of your senses while lending an opportunity to connect with a supportive group. All proceeds go to CLIMB Wyoming, which supports low-income single mothers to attain agency and self-sufficiency.
CFD Western Art Show | 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. | CFD Old West Museum, 4610 Carey Ave | $12 | The 43rd Annual Cheyenne Frontier Days Western Art Show features the nation’s top Western artists who bring to life the celebration, the heritage and the outlook of the American West. Opening July 21st, the show will be on display through August 13th and is included with museum admission.
Fridays on the Plaza: Tris Munsick & The Innocents | 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. | Depot Plaza, 121 W 15th St | Free to attend | Tris Munsick & The Innocents have broken the mold with their unique blend of traditional and modern country, and fans resonate deeply with the authenticity ever-present in their music. Ready or not, the 127th Annual Cheyenne Frontier Days is here! Get ready for 10 days of the world's largest outdoor rodeo and western celebration, all in our backyard. Whether or not CFD is your cup of tea, its economic impact on Cheyenne and surrounding area is undeniable. Visitors to the 2021 edition of Cheyenne Frontier Days spent $40.3 million in Laramie County, and businesses are gearing up for more the of same this summer. With events from the pancake breakfasts, parades, behind the chutes tour, Indian village and plenty more, there is something for everyone.
