🍯 Farmer's Market, Pig Wrestling & More | This Week in Cheyenne

Monday, Aug 7th
Micro Mania | 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. | LG Drilling Motorsports Park, 3801 Archer Pkwy | $12-$55 | As part of the Laramie County Fair, don't miss this high powered, athletic pro-wrestling show, with the perfect touch of comedy mixed in.
Giovannie and The Hired Guns | 8:00 p.m. | The Linoln, 1615 Central Ave | $18.98 | Pushing the boundaries of rock-and-roll and country, the band is one of the most crowd-thrilling bands to burst onto the national scene in recent years. The bands 2021 hit “Ramon Ayala” climbed to #1 on the Active Rock Radio Chart and the Alternative Radio Chart.

Mutton Bustin' | 7:00 p.m. | Laramie County Fair Complex at Archer, 3801 Archer Pkwy | Free to attend | Children ages 5-8 years old are invited to their hand at bustin' mutton in the Archer Arenas during the Laramie County Fair.
Wednesday, Aug 9th
Happy Hour Yoga | 6:00 p.m. | The Office Bar & Grill, 1600 E Pershing Blvd | $20 | Release stress, worry and negative stories that get built up in our bodies during the workday. After the session stay to enjoy a glass of wine.
Thursday, Aug 10th
Kicks 4 Kidz | 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. | Cheyenne Depot Plaza, 121 W 15th St | $35 | Join Hirst Applegate for a 0.5k event to raise funds for new 'kicks' for Laramie County School District kids. The fun starts at the Depot Plaza with stops at Blue Raven Brewery, Flippers Family Arcade, The Boardroom and Hirst Applegate, LLP. A BBQ dinner will be provided for registered participants.
Old West Museum Expansion Phase I Grand Opening | 5:30 p.m. | Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum, 4610 Carey Ave | Free to attend | The Old West Museum has completed Phase I of its expansion with the completion of the new entrance. Stop in the opening reception and check out the newest exhibit, Bridging Cultures, dedicated to exploring the vast relationship between Native American Communities and Cheyenne Frontier Days. Light refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
Jam Night | 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. | The Lincoln, 1615 Central Ave | Free to attend | Head to The Lincoln to learn and build your skills with likeminded individuals during Jam Night. Drums, amps, and keys will be provided while any other instruments will need to be brought with you. If you want to just hang out and enjoy some tunes, drinks will be available from the bar.
Pig Wrestling | 7:00 p.m. | Laramie County Fair Complex at Archer, 3801 Archer Pkwy | Free to attend | Teams of four attempt to wrestle a pig in the fastest time inside a muddy pen. Teams consisting of all ages will compete; pee-wee to adult. Don't miss this event that's a part of the Laramie County Fair.
Friday, Aug 11th
Royal Enfield Demo Days (Also, Saturday, Aug 12th) | 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. | Free to attend | Cheyenne Motorsports will have the line up of Royal Enfield motorcycles to take out for a ride.
Fridays on the Plaza: Big Mountain | 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. | Depot Plaza, 121 W 15th St | Free to attend | The American rock band is best known for its remake of Peter Frampton's "Baby, I Love Your Way," with a Jamaican feel, which became a top 10 hit single in the US in early 1994. Support by Cheyenne’s Josh Gonzales Band.
Build a Hanging Wall Charm | 6:00 p.m. | Silver Sage Ceramics, 3110 Old Faithful Rd | $55 | Learn how to hand-build two hanging wall charms; an owl, cat or gnome. Create a unique addition to your wall of family photos or outdoor garden décor during this one-time workshop. All materials included.
Friday Night Funnies | 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. | LG Drilling Motorsports Park, 3801 Archer Pkwy | $5 Stand-up comedian Tim the Dairy Farmer brings his everyday rural life humor to the Laramie County Fair. You don’t have to be a farmer to understand Tim’s humor. Whether you are blue-collar, redneck or even a city slicker, Tim will have you doubled over with his laughs-per-minute style.
Saturday, Aug 12th
The Cheyenne Farmer's Market | 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. | Frontier Park, 1302 W 8th Ave | It's the first Cheyenne Farmer's Market of the year, which takes place every Saturday from Aug 12th - Oct 14th in the B Lot parking area at Frontier Park. Vendors will be on hand ready to sell their produce, honey, jams, meat, bakery, specialty items and more!
Cheyenne Shrine Club Car & Vendor Show | 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. | Cheyenne Ice and Events Center, 1530 W Lincolnway | Free to attend | Shop from over 60 vendors as the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center is transformed into a shopper's paradise. Enjoy the car show and live music from The Rusty Chaps band outside from 10:00 a.m - 2:00 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Masonic Temple Building Preservation Fund & Shrine Events.
Cheyenne Arts Celebration 2023 | 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. | Lions Park, S Lions Park Dr | Free to attend | Get ready for a day of fun at the Cheyenne Arts Celebration! Co-headliners Buffalo Nichols and Stephanie Anne Johnson will rock the stage, along with a stacked lineup of day-long music. 40+ visual artist exhibitions, food trucks, beverages, yoga in the park, children's art activities and more!
Street Prints | 11:00 a.m. | Lions Park, S Lions Park Dr | Free to attend | Cheyenne Makers + Creatives will be at the Arts Celebration rolling large scale linocut prints. To make event more accessible to more artists they will be accepting digital submissions that can be cut with a CNC machine. They will also be printing t-shirt designs.
United Way Education Collaborative Back to School Bash! | 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. | Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne, 515 W Jefferson Rd | Free to attend | Join the United Way Education Collaborative for the Second Annual Back to School Bash that will feature backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, sports physicals, teeth cleanings, hygiene essentials, lunch & more.

Cheyenne's Dog Haus Biergarten has been on bit of a rollercoaster ride over the first half of the year. The location closed its doors in early March with the hopes of reopening.
