๐ŸŽบ Concert in the Park, Cornhole Tournament & More | This Week in Cheyenne

Plus: The 18th Annual Cheyenne Celtic Festival takes place Saturday & Sunday.

The first of five Concerts in the Park takes place on Tuesday, June 6th at the Brimmer Amphitheater in Lions Park.

Monday, June 5th

Bingo Game Night | 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. | Old Chicago, 1734 Meadowland Dr | Free to attend | An interactive spin on the classic game as you use your phone to play along. If you get a bingo your name is entered to win additional prizes. Beer, food, fun and prizes.

Tuesday, June 6th

Concert in the Park | 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. | Lions Park, Brimmer Amphitheater | Free to attend | Bring the chairs and enjoy a night in the park as the Cheyenne Civic Concert Band presents a summer concert at the Brimmer Amphitheater in Lions Park featuring music of the British Isles.

Wednesday, June 7th

3 Primaries Watercolor Workshop | 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. | Cheyenne Creativity Center, 1620 Thomes Ave | $25 | Geared for intermediate and advance students, the class will be taught by national award winning watercolorist Wanda J. Sander, and explore mixing the three 'original' primaries to create a beautiful original watercolor.

๐Ÿฅƒ Tickets on Sale: Don't miss the 3rd Annual Capital City Whiskey Tasting that takes place Friday, June 30th at the Blue World Headquarters. The event that benefits Magic City features Wyoming distillers who will provide free samples of unique whiskey and other liquors, as well as their own specialized cocktails. Clay Watercolor Workshop Artist's Demonstration and Gallery Reception | 6:00 p.m. | LCCC Surbrugg/Prentice Auditorium, 1400 E College Dr | Free to attend | Featured artist Kim Johnson will give a demenstraion on basic watercolor technique, which will be followed by a reception with light refreshments.

Jam Night | 7:00 p.m. | The Lincoln, 1615 Central Ave | Free to attend | Learn, enhance your skills and connect with fellow musicians at Jam Night. Drums, amps and keys provided. Or if you prefer to just enjoy the music, drinks will be available for purchase.

Spring into Green 5k Run/Walk | 8:00 a.m. | Greater Cheyenne Greenway, Dell Range & Friendship Cr | $20-$35 | Help support the amenities along the 45+ miles of Greenway trail in Cheyenne. The run is the 14th annual event put on by the Cheyenne Greenway Foundation and will feature a relatively flat paved surface, out and back course.

Cheyenne Celtic Festival and Highland Games (Also Sunday June 11th) | 10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. | Lions Park, 408 S Lions Park Dr | Free to attend | A lively celebration that brings the spirit of Celtic culture to Cheyenne. The 18th Annual Cheyenne Celtic Festival will feature vendors, entertainment, education, athletic competitions and much more.

Burns Day 2023 | 7:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. | Main Street, Burns | Free to attend | Outdoor family-friendly event that celebrates community spirit, music and fun. Enjoy music from a variety of bands, vendor fair, food and more!

Cats on Mats | 9:00 a.m. | Catz N Coffee Connections, 615 W 20th St | $30 | Hit the yoga mats along with furry cat friends. The 60 min class is for all levels and includes coffee or tea, plus time with the cats after yoga.

Cornhole Tournament | 10:00 a.m. | Blue Raven Brewery, 209 E 18th St | $75/team | Supporting Black Dog Animal Resucue, the 4th Annual cornhole tournament + block party will have games, raffles, food trucks and delicious drinks! Plus $1,000 in prize money.

Pride Cheyenne Pub-crawl | 12:00 p.m. | Various Locations, Downtown | Free to attend | Dress up in your favorite Pride outfit and join the 2nd Annual Pride Pub-crawl from one downtown establishment to another. Drink specials and food trucks along the way.

Oh the Places We'll Dance | 2:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. | Cheyenne Civic Center, 510 W 20th St | $8-$12 | En Avant Dance Studio in collaboration with the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra present "Oh the Places We'll Dance" featuring Cheyenne-area dance students performing a wide variety of dance styles. The annual fundraising performance will benefit the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra.

Adult Night @ Beach Please | 4:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. | Beach Please Drink Company, 200 E 17th St | Free to attend | Beach Please Drink Company & Alfs Pub partner to bring you Adult Night (Alcoholic drinks) at Beach Please featuring food, music and beach drinks.

Sunday, June 11th

Dog Days of Summer - Concert in the Dog Park | 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. | The Nancy Mockler Dog Park, 800 Southwest Dr | Free to attend | Get ready to kick off the summer with a concert in the dog park featuring Johnny Velvick. Music, raffles, food and more! Cash and supply donations are welcome and will directly benefit the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.

๐Ÿบ Coming Soon: Wyoming Brewers Festival will take place on Friday, June 16th and Saturday, June 17th on the Depot Plaza, downtown. The annual fundraising event to help preserve the historic Union Pacific Depot in downtown Cheyenne will feature beers and brewers from around Wyoming, the front range of the Rockies and other western states. A new VIP pass has been introduced for this year's fest which includes 1 hour of exclusive access to BrewFest, including meeting with the brewers, no lines and a VIP-specific pint mug for larger pours throughout the evening.
